Downloading same update over and over

try running the pack check, I did that and it seems to have fixed it for me.

its in the folder POE of the POE installed

C - program files x86 - GGG - POE - packcheck.exe

Edit: disregard... I was bamboozled... first launch of the day didn't try to patch... 2nd did... so pack check is not the solution.

And.....it's back, the pesky file checking etc.

Edit: also tried the packcheck which did find a couple of orphaned entries.

Yeah I've run packcheck.exe too.

Doesn't look like it found any issues. And I still get the 121.44 KB patch on startup - not every launch, but most launches.

I have encountered the same issue. Every time after applying the patch, the game updates, and the update size is 18.59 MB.I also tried reinstalling, but it didn't help.
i have to install this patch every time i launch the game. if i launch it 5 times a day then i have to install it 5 times a day. the fact that GGG is silent about this is very weird.
I finally solved this issue. The fix is to set the Content.ggpk file to read-only. That stops the game from overwriting the patch on every launch.

This worked for me
I'm having this too, I'm not sure setting the content.ggpk file to read-only is a good answer, that'd prevent future updates maybe?

Being 121kb i'm not too concerned but I don't have unlimited with my ISP so if this was a big 1gb+ file I'd have to stop playing completely.

Yeah I definitely wouldn't do that, not with 3.28.0f dropping in half an hour. :-)
sadly 3.28.0f makes no mention of fixing this issue
