Please don't merge PS trade with PC, not everyone wants it.
Please *do* do something to make currency exchange better in small markets. | |
" Yeah, do something at least. it was better with the old trade board Edit: It would be much better to merge both consoles or merge it with PC. Or are you fine with 4 wailing essences for multiple divine orbs? thats the PS5 trade market. and Faustus almost got nothing, so if you get something you want to trade in for Chaos/divine it wont be possible because there is no one selling anything. " I don't think they can as items are stored in completely different databases and would be problems... The only solution they can do is go cross play at some point, but this would be a gigantic piece of work which I doubt they will even consider... Writing a sort of broker for trading with PC could be a thing, but performance wise and sorting all the issues between databases would probably turn into the same amount of work as going full cross play... I don't think there will ever be a workaround for this, eventually it will die on console, specially when PoE2 goes free and gets more content. |

" The size of the market doesn't matter when the problem is liquidity. It's annoying to have to grind all the materials for crafts... Merging the market with PC might actually be the thing to bring more people to the game... I suppose people leave the game after the first week because of market issues 😂 |

There are fewer players on console / PS5 and not everyone plays at the same time, so naturally there might not be any existing exchange orders for your preferred items.
But you can just put in an exchange order with Faustus - with a ratio you feel is acceptable - and then others can see it and fullfill it. If you don't put anything on Faustus 'because there is nothing', then it will stay at nothing. You need to participate in the trading so others can also participate. Personally I haven't had any issues trading Lifeforce for Chaos or Divine Orbs - even when there weren't any active exchange orders. I just put the order in and continue mapping. |

" This is about 50-60% of the problem. Most players are (almost) only buyers, and they just look at the currency exchange (and/or regular trade) when they want something, but they don't put stuff up for sale. If people don't list stuff, then the market is empty, and people see it as nonviable. I've actually had pretty good luck with the currency exchange this league, as it has been much more active than it was last league. However, that's only for relatively popular items (Astrolabes, commonly used scarabs, lifeforce, etc). If you're trying to buy something obscure, there's not only nothing there, you can put up a "buy" order and it will never fill. If GGG increased the total numbers of listings you can make, probably by creating a special way to list things that is restricted to one listing per item type for Scarabs, Essences, etc (maybe even only if you own the special tabs, if they're worried about people using it as storage), that would help tremendously. Currently, Essence sellers have to either convert all their essences to the most in-demand type (using harvest) and just sell those, or they have to rotate their listings. Because even if they only sell deafenings (which are not the only useful ones) there aren't enough slots even if they use their whole currency exchange allotment *only* for Essences. And they probably need some of those slots to put in buy orders for Essence scarabs. The same idea applies to other items with large variety as well (such Catalysts, Scarabs, boss fragments, Deli orbs, etc). |
