Conversion order Damage taken

Hello!

I need to ask.

If i take one mixed hit, 100p/100e (p=physical/e=elemental) and i have items with mods
-20% elemental dmg taken as chaos
-20% physical dmg taken as elemental
then how game calculate this?

Sequence is;
Physical → Lightning → Cold → Fire → Chaos

1. Physical to element first
20%x100p = 80p/20e
and SECOND calculations is elemental to chaos
2. 20%x((100e(base)+20e(from convert)) = 96e and 24c (c=chaos)

So finnaly i take
-96 elemental
-80 physical
-24 chaos?
right?

this sequence is correct?

i asking, becouse i think about build with alot of armor, suppress spell and Chaos Inoculation key.

If i think correct, i reduce hit 100p/100e to only 96e and 80p
lowest physical = more % reduction by armor.
lowest elemental - less dmg by suppress.
I break down damage into different sources for reduction

Is the damage shared sequentially or all at once?
If it all at one, then i take 80p, 20c and 80e+20e (20e is from physical conversion) if in order sequence, my calculation schould be correct

"Damage taken as" is not Damage Conversion. You cannot change the type of damage you're taking more than once. Because of this, there is no sequence--if you can only change the damage type once, you don't need a sequence to prevent infinite loops.

In the example scenario mentioned, you would take
80 Physical Damage
100 Elemental Damage
20 Chaos Damage
Oh, good to know. Thx.
So its no sense to use both of this items at the same time.

and

That ruins alot of my ideas for builds :( sad.

I believe those do work together. The 'damage taken as' is only for the type that is stated, and other damage types are not affected.

With both items equipped you have a 25% of physical AND elemental damage taken from hits as chaos damage.

Your example of a single mixed hit of 100p + 100e would become: 75p + 75e + 50c

You can also add in Divine Flesh ( https://www.poewiki.net/wiki/Divine_Flesh ) for even more elemental damage shift to chaos

Last question.

If i have
"Armour also applies to Chaos Damage taken from Hits"

and boss hit my by 50%physical/50%chaos hit
then armour is calculated to fully 100% hit, or separate calculation to physical piece, and separate for chaos piece?

and harder questions.

if i have
"Armour also applies to Chaos Damage taken from Hits"
and Transcendence;
"Armour applies to Fire, Cold and Lightning Damage taken from Hits instead of Physical Damage"

and i take hit 50%physical/50%chaos AND use "take 25% physical dmg as elemental"

then armour is calculated to chaos and this piece of elemental separate? or before armour reduction, dmg is accumulated; 50%chaos+portion of elemental, then armour is applied?

I think you are confusing yourself ;) Different damage types are calculated seperately - every damage type gets its own calculation path.

When you have modifiers like "Armour also applies to Chaos Damage taken from Hits", then for the chaos portion of the hit, armour will be applied for the chaos portion. If you have other modifiers affecting Fire Damage taken from Hits, then it will be calculated independently for fire damage.

The wiki has a good page on this: https://www.poewiki.net/wiki/Receiving_damage

Your questions are related to steps #5 and #6.
