Monk Acolyte of Chayula - Consuming Questions Node Not Working

Hello

The Consuming Questions node isn't functioning as intended

I have at least above 50% percent Mana Leech and my Energy Shield doesn't increase at all when attacking a monster with a Hit. (Tempest Flurry or Storm Wave for example)

Unless I'm misunderstanding my current tree/gear I believe this node is bugged
